East Devon

Sidmouth is situated in the heart of East Devon which is famous for the rolling hills, seaside towns and things to do for all the family. With quick access to the rest of East Devon, the Groveside Guest house is ideally situated with full directions available and ideas for things to see and do.

Budleigh - A world away from the hussle and bussle of modern day life, the town centre with its unique and much prized selection of shops, most of which are still independently owned, is only a short walk from the sea front. There you will find a beautifully clean pebble beach which provides clear water and safe bathing

Exmouth - Regarded as the biggest town in East Devon, Exmouth marks the mouth of the River Exe and the start of the Jurassic Coast. With its 2 miles of Golden sands Emouth is only half a hours drive away from the Groveside with buses travelling on a regular basis.

Exeter - Although not part of East Devon, Exeter is regarded as the Regions Capital. With the recent development of the Princesshay shopping center, juxtaposed to the elegant architecture, Exeter has managed to envelop a traditional city in a modern concept.

Honiton - Situated in the Heart of the West Country and famous for it's lace making, antiques and steeped in history, Honiton is easily accessible from excellent road links.

Sidmouth - Sidmouth is a regency town by the sea. Sidmouth is a beautiful and traditional seaside town sitting at the mouth of the River Sid. It is surrounded by the rolling Devon Country Side and is part of the Jurassic Coast.

Ottery St Mary - The historic town of Ottery St Mary is surrounded by an extended family of small communities, Wiggaton, Talaton, Alfington, Gittisham and Tipton St. John, West Hill, Whimple, Escot and Aylesbeare.
